Volunteering for Detling
We have a dedicated team of volunteers at Detling that help to keep the event running smoothly, some of whom you may see around the site, others you may not.
Every year, we need a strong team of people who are willing to give up their time to help to put on this great event. All we ask is a servant heart to serve others on site.
How to Apply
Volunteering to help at the Detling Summer Celebration is a simple process. Below you will find all of the relevant links for registration forms, depending on whether or not this is your first time volunteering or a fast-track application if you have served before.

Benefits vary dependent on what you volunteer for at conference. For more information on this, please see our Volunteer Role Descriptions & Benefits.
Recruitment Policy
All volunteers are required to provide a Church reference and some volunteers may also be asked to provide a character reference, particularly if serving on the Children or Youth teams.
CRB Disclosure
Volunteers working with children will be asked to undergo an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check (CRB).
If you have previously applied for an Enhanced Disclosure with the Detling Summer Celebration, we will let you know if you are covered to serve at the next event.
You will be required to apply for an Enhanced CRB if:
- This is your first time serving at Detling
- You have had a break in service
- You need to renew your Enhanced Disclosure
